British Glass welcomes the recognition from the UK Government that radical action is required to mitigate the spiralling costs of energy that threaten businesses in the UK.

We welcome the aspiration to diversify and increase UK energy supplies.

As yet, there is not enough information to understand what level of support, how the support will be accessed by businesses and how it will be paid for in the medium and long term.

The glass sector looks forward to working with the Department for Business, Energy and industrial Strategy to answer any outstanding questions and contribute to the review of vulnerable industries.
