This visit was particularly special as it allowed the team to see Viprotron's first-ever Temper Scanner in Europe in action.
In 2022, Eckelt joined the vandaglas group, a dynamic and independent consortium of European glass processors. This group has a significant presence with facilities in the UK, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The incorporation of long-established glass production sites into the vandaglas group has significantly strengthened its market position.
During the visit, the team had the privilege of working directly with Mr. Florian Temper, who was appointed Managing Director (COO) of the plant in May. Mr. Temper, who has held various roles within the production site over the years, including Quality Manager, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in glass production and quality control.
vandaglas Eckelt is home to Europe's first-ever Temper Scanner equipped with all five detection channels. This state-of-the-art scanner can detect various distortions, anisotropy, white haze, and optical defects such as bubbles, scratches, and inclusions. With its advanced lighting, contrast settings, and specialized line scan cameras, it guarantees vandaglas Eckelt and their customers the most reliable defect detection available on the market.
At vandaglas Eckelt, quality is paramount. They produce insulated, architectural, safety, and laminated glass, all of which undergo rigorous scanning to ensure top-notch quality before leaving the production site in Austria.
Viprotron GmbH is proud to maintain a strong relationship with vandaglas Eckelt and looks forward to continued collaboration. The visit underscores the shared commitment to excellence in glass quality and innovation.
