The high-quality façades are glazed with Guardian SunGuard® eXtra Selective (SNX) 60/28, a triple silver coated solar control glass.

The Guardian SunGuard® SN 62/34 with red spandrel coated solar control glass products offers high natural light transmission and minimise the need for artificial light.
Guardian SunGuard® eXtra Selective (SNX) 60 was selected for the glazed façade.
Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 62/34 coated solar control glass was chosen for the glazed elements of the façade.
Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 70S was chosen for the fully glazed façade.
Guardian SunGuard® eXtra Selective (SNX) 60 was selected for the glazed façade. This coated solar control glass helps reduce energy costs by lowering the demand for artificial lighting, air conditioning and heating.
The project benefits from double insulating glass units, thermal insulation glass and solar control glass – all supplied by Guardian Glass.
The solar control glass for the fully glazed façade is Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 70/37 HT, which has an attractive, transparent, neutral blue reflected colour with low reflection that is ideal for glazed façades.
Highly selective, thermally insulating glass is already in Guardian’s portfolio and is widely used in modern, energy-efficient buildings.
Sandwiched between two glass panes is a special hydrogel liquid that turns opaque in sunlight, reducing its heating effect on a building.
Guardian ClimaGuard® A 1.1 and Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 51/28 were chosen for the fully glazed façade.

Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 40/23 was chosen for the fully glazed façade of the museum, which was designed by Grimshaw Architects.
For the glazed façade, the architects wanted a neutral appearance so that the glass would blend in well with the surrounding historical buildings and also required glazing that would provide excellent solar control.
Eastman will livestream innovations to maximize light and transparency in glass elements on November 10, 2020 and will showcase a frameless glass structure of 4,5 m high designed by Roman Schieber from Knippers Helbig Advanced Engineering.
