VEKA Ibérica and Guardian Glass collaborate to help advance energy and environmental performance in window solutions in Iberia.

VEKA Ibérica, a leading manufacturer of PVC window profile systems, and Guardian Glass, a global leader in glass manufacturing, have signed a collaboration agreement to combine their expertise and promote responsible, conscious management of resources and environmental impact in the building sector in Iberia.

The agreement brings together Guardian Glass’s knowledge of high-performance glass and VEKA’s expertise in window profile systems to develop resources and initiatives in Iberia that help architects, specifiers, and window makers make informed decisions, recognizing the central role of windows in helping to improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and the environmental performance of buildings.

The collaboration will prioritize initiatives such as promoting solutions that help reduce both embodied and operational carbon in buildings, organizing joint training sessions for architects and industry professionals to encourage energy-efficient solutions with a lower carbon footprint, and cooperating on rehabilitation projects where materials can be responsibly recovered for reuse or recycling, and replaced with more efficient alternatives. These resources will help customers better understand the role of windows in helping to improve both energy efficiency and lifecycle performance, while contributing to reduced operational and embodied carbon in the built environment.

Luis del Fraile, Managing Director of VEKA Ibérica, said: “This agreement with Guardian represents a form of collaboration that goes beyond the product: it adds vision, experience and commitment, taking a firm step towards a more conscious, efficient building model aligned with today’s challenges.”

“Joining forces with VEKA allows us to support window and construction professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to help them meet stringent energy efficiency and environmental goals.” said Ignacio Zamora, Regional Sales Manager Iberia, Guardian Glass. “Together, we want to facilitate their ability to design buildings that can deliver comfort for occupants and environmental value.”

VEKA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and Guardian’s Stewardship Framework align closely around environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, innovation, and responsible resource management. Both companies see this agreement as a step forward in addressing the building sector’s role in promoting solutions that improve comfort, well-being, and efficiency in the built environment.
