Pilkington Optiwhite™ on Display

Pilkington Optiwhite™ low iron glass was used in display at recent HIConnect trade show in Nashville.

The HIConnect trade show in Nashville is a different type of trade show in that a design firm is brought in to create a space (hotel lobby, bathroom, guest suite, cafe, etc) and then pulls in various partners to help complete the overall plan. This year EFI in Kernersville, North Carolina, supplied Pilkington glass for a design of a hotel lobby. Pilkington Optiwhite™ was used for the back bar area of the lobby which was digitally printed with artwork provided by another supplier that was participating in the show. The artwork above the doors are fixed panels that were backlit with LEDs. YWS Design and Architecture won the Best Public Space for the project.

This type of application benefits from the clarity of Pilkington Optiwhite™ low iron glass by allowing the artwork in the bar area to be displayed with an unobtrusive view. With its almost colorless appearance, Pilkington Optiwhite™ is perfect for applications where transparency and purity of color are desired.
