Onyx Solar’s undertakes its first project in Australia

Date: 17 June 2016

Onyx Solar has contributed with its glass to a photovoltaic canopy in Melbourne. The canopy is part of La Trobe University’s campus, and serves a double purpose: providing visitors with cover from the sun while generating a great amount of energy.

Said canopy has been fully customized and employs a combination of mono-crystalline glasses that provide the University with 14,392 kWh annually, and avoid 10 tons of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere over the same period – thus greatly contributing to La Trobe University’s commitment to sustainability.Onyx Solar has contributed with its glass to a photovoltaic canopy in Melbourne.
