Gao Li, Vice Chairman and President of NorthGlass; Gao Qi, Vice President of NorthGlass; Jin Mingxiang, General Manager of NorthGlass Cast Glass Company; members of the management teams of NorthGlass and its various business divisions; and employee representatives attended the ceremony. Approximately 100 people were present.
With the kiln flames rising, NorthGlass’s second intelligent production line officially entered a new stage of mass production. This marks a major breakthrough for NorthGlass in high-end glass processing, spanning process innovation, product development and the creation of a new product category.
Building on 31 years of accumulated expertise, NorthGlass is ushering in a new era for cast glass as the kiln fires up once again. Drawing on its extensive experience in high-end glass manufacturing and core process technologies, the company is overcoming the limitations of traditional handcrafted cast glass production. By applying modern, intelligent and industrialised technologies to this ancient craft, NorthGlass is exploring new possibilities for cast glass in contemporary architecture.
President Gao Li noted that cast glass offers rich colours and distinctive textures. NorthGlass has transformed it from a material used primarily in small-scale artistic installations into a new option for architectural façades, marking a significant breakthrough. Through strengthening treatments, the company has also addressed a long-standing industry challenge: the tendency of cast glass to crack or break after prolonged exposure to repeated heating and cooling cycles.
Vice President Gao Qi noted that NorthGlass Cast Glass Company continues NorthGlass’s long-standing tradition of technology-driven development and has already demonstrated strong competitiveness during its trial production stage.
“NorthGlass’s glass processing business focuses on three key areas: ultra-large glass, bent tempered glass and cast glass. These are all important areas of interest for architects and designers. With everyone working together, I am confident that NorthGlass Cast Glass Company will have a bright future,” he said.
Jin Mingxiang, General Manager of NorthGlass Cast Glass Company, said that firing the kiln represents more than simply starting up a piece of equipment. It marks a new beginning that everyone has worked together to create and nurture.
Looking ahead, NorthGlass Cast Glass will leverage its intelligent kiln production line to continuously refine its premium cast glass products and advance architectural aesthetics. Driven by technological innovation, NorthGlass will continue to promote industrial upgrading, strengthen its foundations for growth through uncompromising quality, and expand the boundaries of high-end architectural materials. Through craftsmanship and quality, the company aims to create new possibilities for architectural design and, through green innovation, contribute to the high-quality development of the industry.
