Enhanced relationship follows success of AGMT testing during NGA’s GlassBuild America 2024 event

The National Glass Association (NGA), provider of glass industry resources such as MyGlassClass.com, technical manuals, and industry events, is identifying new collaboration opportunities with the Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC), which sponsors and coordinates the North American Contractor Certification (NACC) and Architectural Glass and Metal Technician (AGMT) programs, North America’s only third-party credentials for glazing contractors and glaziers. This follows AGMT’s successful live certification testing event on the exhibit floor during NGA’s GlassBuild America 2024 trade show.

“Witnessing the AGMT test in person and hearing the input of AGMCC board and committee members during their annual meeting underscored the value of our trade show collaboration,” said NGA Vice President of Workforce Development Jenni Chase. “Several NGA member glazing contractors are already credentialled through AGMT’s certification and more can be with NGA’s facilitation.”

“We appreciate the opportunity NGA provided to host our first live AGMT testing event during GlassBuild America, giving attendees a look at the rigor and sophistication of AGMT certification,” said AGMT Program Manager Scott Kennett. “As both AGMT and NACC programs grow in recognition and participation, we are enthusiastic about relationships with leading glazing industry organizations such as NGA.”

The two organizations have committed to a second AGMT testing event for GlassBuild America 2025, to be held November 4-6, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
