Milgard Windows & Doors and Andy’s Glass & Window teamed up to provide energy efficient vinyl windows to Project T.O.U.C.H. in support of their transitional housing program.

Project T.O.U.C.H serves the homeless and those at risk for homelessness in Southwest Riverside County through a variety of programs including: housing, emergency shelters, food donations and job training in addition to their call-in referral center with resources for social services, mental health and rehab programs.

The transitional housing project included a fourplex in need of an extreme makeover. The completed space helped Project T.O.U.C.H expand their homeless prevention program and aid those in need to support them on their path to self-sufficiency.

“These homes provide an additional 40 beds for low to no income families, single mothers, veterans, seniors, disabled and the medically indigent,” said Anne Unmacht, Founder and Director of Project Touch. “We are so grateful to Andy’s Glass & Window and Milgard Windows & Doors for their help.”

Milgard® Style Line® Series vinyl replacement windows were selected for their durability and energy efficiency. Vinyl window frames are non-corroding and virtually maintenance free, which made them a great choice for the project.

“Andy’s is happy to help our community and make a difference is the lives of those in need,” said Rachel Leigh, Owner Andy’s Glass & Window.

Milgard is proud to give back to the local community, partner with dealers, and inspire its employees to get involved, volunteer and make a difference to charities of their choosing.
