Date: 25 August 2026
Following the launch of the joint ‘Give to Gain’ campaign for International Women’s Day in March 2026, both organisations have aligned on a shared commitment to champion diversity, support career progression and showcase the breadth of opportunity for women across the fenestration, glazing and installation sectors.
Between now and FIT Show 2027, the partnership will focus on three core pillars: content and representation, mentoring and development, and visibility and networking. FIT Show and WFN will co‑curate a more rounded seminar programme that includes dedicated WFN sessions alongside signposted women speakers across mainstream FIT Show content. Joint oversight of speaker line‑ups, panel discussions and case studies will ensure women’s voices are visible across topics such as skills, standards, sustainability, digitalisation and business growth.
The partnership will also introduce a WFN Mentoring Clinic on the show floor, offering confidential one‑to‑one and small‑group mentoring sessions. This will build on WFN’s wider mentoring programme and give women in support roles, early‑career professionals and those considering a move into fenestration a safe space to seek advice and guidance. Alongside this, a dedicated WFN hub will be created within the exhibition to host networking, mentoring and peer‑support activities.
The three days of FIT Show 2027 will be structured to highlight WFN’s role while integrating women’s stories across the wider programme. Tuesday will operate as a WFN Focus Day, featuring a dedicated WFN Lunch & Learn session and a second seminar slot, both curated with WFN. A WFN Industry Inside trail will run across the halls, guiding first‑time female visitors through key stands such as systems houses, hardware and roofing, with hosted introductions and stand tours. Participating exhibitor stands will also have the opportunity to host a WFN Hour, with founding members and corporate partners encouraged to invite visitors to meet their teams and learn about career paths.
FIT Show event director, Nickie West said: “FIT Show is proud to work alongside Women in Fenestration as a strategic partner, not just a campaign ally. Our shared goal is simple: to make sure that women at every level - from the shop floor to the boardroom - can see themselves represented across our stages, our stands and our wider community. Between now and May 2027, we’re embedding that commitment into the fabric of the show.”
“From co‑creating content to facilitating mentoring on the show floor, this partnership is about turning intention into action. We want FIT Show to be recognised as a place where people can build careers, not just attend an event. By working closely with WFN on speaker line‑ups, stand activations and targeted initiatives like the Industry Inside trail, we’re making sure that the next generation of fenestration professionals can picture a future in our industry.”
Sioned Yates, co-organiser for Women in Fenestration said: “We’re thrilled to deepen our partnership with FIT Show because of the reach and influence the event has across the supply chain. By working together on content, speaker line‑ups and visibility for WFN members in the run up to, and during FIT Show 2027, we can move beyond celebration and into real, practical change. The combination of mentoring clinics, live podcast recordings, Industry Inside trails and dedicated seminar space gives us a tangible platform to support women, and the wider industry, at every stage of their careers.”
Companies interested in sponsoring WFN sessions, mentoring clinics, site visits or the Industry Inside trail are encouraged to contact WFN directly via www.womeninfenestration.co.uk to discuss packages and alignment with their own diversity and talent strategies.
FIT Show 2027 takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 18-20 May 2027.
