At the glasstec 2026, LiSEC will present a comprehensive portfolio of automation, robotics, and logistics solutions designed to optimize material flow throughout the entire value chain.

The demands placed on logistics in the flat glass industry continue to increase. Labor shortages, rising cost pressure, and stringent quality requirements call for intelligent solutions that make production processes more efficient and reliable. At the glasstec 2026, LiSEC will present a comprehensive portfolio of automation, robotics, and logistics solutions designed to optimize material flow throughout the entire value chain.

Logistics as the pacemaker of production

LiSEC does not view logistics as an isolated process step, but rather as the central pacemaker of production. The goal is to support value-adding areas of flat glass processing in a way that significantly reduces manual intervention. This is achieved through a continuous material and information flow across the entire production chain, enabling smooth operations and efficient manufacturing.

Intelligent automation solutions help reduce manual tasks, stabilize processes, and utilize resources more efficiently. The logistics solutions developed by LiSEC are suitable for a wide range of production concepts, from standalone, non-linked machines and mobile rack trolley systems to fully automated production lines featuring robotics and intelligent sorting. As a result, companies can automate step by step or align entire production areas toward seamless automation.

glasstec 2026 as a showcase for new LiSEC logistics solutions

A special focus is placed on innovative sorting, buffering, and material flow solutions that decouple production and shipping processes while creating additional flexibility. At the glasstec, LiSEC will introduce IG-Sort, a solution for the automated sorting of wet (i.e. not yet cured) insulating glass units. The system enables controlled curing as well as optimized downstream processing and order picking. This creates a closer integration of production and logistics processes while simultaneously increasing process reliability.

Another innovation visitors can explore at the show booth is the ASM-DS double-deck buffer, LiSEC’s response to growing requirements for space efficiency and flexible material flows. Through the intelligent use of building height, the system doubles storage capacity while maintaining the same floor footprint.

A patented shuttle with an integrated lifting mechanism handles storage and retrieval operations between two storage levels. The ASM-DS is suitable for both the temporary storage of individual glass sheets after cutting and the buffering of finished units before shipment. This solution enables better utilization of existing floor space and demonstrates how vertical space is becoming a decisive factor in modern glass manufacturing.

How glass processors benefit from intelligent LiSEC logistics solutions

The challenges facing the industry are clear: high throughput requirements coincide with increasing quality expectations and a growing shortage of skilled workers. Automated logistics solutions from LiSEC help glass processors remain productive despite labor shortages, reduce waste, and operate existing equipment more economically.

In addition to the solutions presented at the glasstec, LiSEC continuously advances its logistics systems. These developments include automated handling processes, intelligent material flow control, and new approaches aimed at further reducing manual activities. In the long term, development efforts are focused on increasingly autonomous production environments in which robotics, sensor technology, and digital process control work together seamlessly.

Efficient logistics as a competitive advantage

Logistics has evolved from a supporting function into a decisive success factor in modern production environments. Only the optimal interaction of material flow, processes, and equipment allows manufacturers to fully utilize the potential of their operations. For this reason, LiSEC views logistics as an integral part of the value chain. Modern logistics solutions enable glass processors to use production capacities more efficiently, ensure consistently high product quality, and strengthen their competitiveness in a sustainable way.
