The Facade Tectonics Institute has extended the abstract submission deadline to March 1, 2026, inviting global voices to help shape its most ambitious World Congress yet.

The Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) announced a one-month extension of the Call for Abstracts for the FTI 2026 World Congress, with a new deadline of March 1, 2026. The biennial event will take place September 28 – October 2, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University.

FTI has already received a strong response from researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders worldwide, reflecting diverse perspectives and innovative approaches. With this extension, FTI aims to encourage additional contributions and broaden the global dialogue around façade performance, resilience, sustainability, materials, systems, and the future of the built environment.

All submissions will undergo FTI’s rigorous peer-review process, co-chaired by Omar Khan and Sophie Pennetier, supported by an international committee of leading academics and professionals.
