FGIA will deliver two important educational presentations during GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo taking place September 23-25 in Las Vegas, NV.

This year, FGIA will present two sessions on the Main Stage – a can’t-miss venue, hosting three days of learning, networking and industry celebration. The sessions will provide attendees with vital updates on daylighting strategies and the latest North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) updates. Throughout the three-day event, attendees can engage directly with technical experts and leadership at the FGIA booth, located in Association Row at Booth AR-04.

Designing for Daylight | Illuminating Health and Architecture

Daylight is more than an aesthetic choice. It can affect productivity, learning, health and recovery.

“With daylighting playing such an important role in building design, energy performance and occupant well-being, FGIA is thrilled to bring the industry together to learn about the latest science, connect with experts and gain insights you can bring back to your businesses,” said Janice Yglesias, FGIA Executive Director. “We look forward to welcoming our members and all attendees at this year’s show.”

On September 23 at 11:30 am Pacific, Yglesias will moderate a panel discussion with industry experts from across the building sector. This session will connect the latest research in daylighting and human health with practical design strategies and offer insights into the code landscape shaping what is required.

NAFS-26 | Understanding Key Changes and Impacts on Testing Requirements

The 2026 edition of AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440, the North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for windows, doors and skylights (NAFS), introduces important updates that impact fenestration product testing, labeling and approval across North America.

“Developed by CSA Group, FGIA and the Window & Door Manufacturers Association, this standard continues to evolve in response to industry and regulatory needs,” said FGIA Technical Training Specialist, Aaron Blom. “Don’t miss this important session in Las Vegas.”

On September 24 at 2:05 pm Pacific, Blom will focus on the now-mandatory secondary designator, influenced by proposals from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and will break down what this means for performance ratings, compliance and product approval, especially as concerns like water intrusion gain attention in key regions.
