Date: 17 September 2025
To commemorate this milestone, the company organized an event on September 11 and 12 that brought together its entire commercial network, clients, distributors, institutions, and employees in an occasion full of innovation, recognition, and commitment to the future, held in Rubielos de Mora, the town where TUROMAS was founded in 1985 and where its headquarters remain.
It was attended by guests from all over the world, including representatives from India, Africa, Poland, Finland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain (from all regions), the United States, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, reinforcing the company’s international reach from its headquarters in Teruel.
Words from Management: History, Identity, and Future Challenges
The gathering included guided tours of the facilities, live machinery demonstrations, and the presentation of the new LAM 600 laminated glass cutting line. The institutional ceremony took place at the CIDET (TUROMAS Innovation and Special Developments Center), where the company’s history was reviewed and key strategic projects were presented.
In his speech, Álvaro Tomás, CEO of TUROMAS, highlighted the value of a family business and the importance of the region and its people as essential elements of the company’s identity: the roots in Rubielos de Mora, the founders’ vision, and the talent of its team have been decisive in establishing TUROMAS internationally. In this context, he expressed gratitude to clients, suppliers, institutions, and especially the team that brings the company to life:
"This is a sincere and honest thank you, because all of you have been protagonists in TUROMAS’ history over these 40 years. Our identity can be explained through three key factors: the founder’s stamp, the territory where we were born, and the people who are part of this project. From a small town in Teruel, we have shown that it is possible to compete successfully across all five continents."

TUROMAS CEO
José Luis Escriche, Chief Operations Officer, emphasized that reaching 40 years does not signify the end of a stage but rather a starting point toward new challenges in automation, digitalization, sustainability, talent development, and internationalization.
A Global Vision with Local Roots
Throughout its four decades, TUROMAS has successfully combined a strong local presence with a clear international vocation. From Rubielos de Mora, where all machine components are designed, manufactured, and assembled, the company began its international expansion in 1992. Today, TUROMAS is present in more than a hundred countries and has its own offices in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.
Teresa Catalán, Marketing Director, highlighted the role of the team in the company’s success:
"Turning 40 is not just about looking back; it is about ensuring a sustainable future and continuing to create opportunities from our region. Today, we are more than 100 professionals, most of them from the Gúdar-Javalambre region, with an increasing number of women in a traditionally male-dominated sector."

Innovation and Sustainability as Growth Drivers
The anniversary was also an opportunity to present some of the company’s upcoming milestones. Among them was the launch of the new corporate website, designed to enhance the user experience with a mega menu, a line configurator, and a product comparison tool, as well as progress in R&D+i, including the development of a new laminated glass cutting line, which will be officially presented at Glasstec 2026. These innovations were introduced by Miguel Ángel, R&D+i Director, and Doñate, Spain-Portugal Area Manager, who detailed the features and advantages of the new solutions.
Additionally, new sustainability initiatives were announced, including the expansion of facilities in 2026, the installation of solar panels, the gradual transition of the fleet to electric vehicles, and the implementation of measures to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
The Grand Finale
The event concluded with a commemorative lunch at Masía La Torre, accompanied by live music, reflecting the approachable and human character that defines TUROMAS.
After four decades of effort, innovation, and growth, the company reaffirms its commitment to continue providing cutting-edge technological solutions to the glass sector, maintain its commitment to the region, and consolidate its international presence.
