The use of glass products in residential construction to meet modern safety parameters

StekloSouz of Russian proposals were sent to the Government of the Russian Federation D. Medvedev on the application of the glass industry products.

Russian Ministry of Construction in a letter dated 31.08.2015 №27763-AB / 08 confirmed that StekloSouz proposals will be taken into account in the development of codes of practice and update previously approved by national regulations and building codes.The revision of SP 54.13330.2011 "SNIP 01/31/2003 multifamily residential buildings" Ministry of Construction of Russia planned to consider the possibility of glazing of loggias and balconies requirements in newly constructed apartment buildings.

Changing the rules on compulsory glazing of balconies and loggias in the construction of apartment buildings will provide the implementation of modern requirements for energy efficiency, expand the use of housing construction of modern energy efficient and safe materials based on glass. The first is scheduled to consider the following changes in the regulations:

1. Introduction of mandatory requirements glazing loggias and balconies in apartment buildings under construction.

2. Introduction to the list of mandatory work in the implementation of programs of capital repairs of apartment buildings replace old windows in the windows.

3. Introduction to the list of mandatory work in the implementation of programs of capital repairs of apartment buildings glazing of balconies and loggias.
