Photovoltaics International becomes the organising partner  Solarpeq – The International Trade Fair for Solar Production Equipment held in Düsseldorf will be accompanied next year by a top-class specialist international conference focussed on solar production and equipment.

Photovoltaics International, a renowned specialist journal for photovoltaics, will take the role of organising partner. The conference takes place on 27 September 2010, the eve of solarpeq and the following first day of solarpeq until midday. Venue is the Conference Center Düsseldorf (CCD) East which enjoys direct access to the fairground.

Eddy Blokken, former Director of Technology and Standards at the PV Group of the international association SEMI has been appointed as Conference Chairman. Mr Blokken will be responsible for the content planning of the conference and will be inviting relevant speakers to Düsseldorf to share their experiences and best practice in the solar manufacturing supply chain.

“The conference complements the range at solarpeq turning it into an extremely attractive, overall B2B package for international experts in the field of solar production engineering,” explains Hans Werner Reinhard, Executive Director at Messe Düsseldorf. David Owen, Managing Director at Photovoltaics International, commented: “We are delighted to support the conference programme at solarpeq with our in-depth knowledge and contacts throughout the PV manufacturing supply chain. The solarpeq exhibition with its clear focus on solar production technology suits us perfectly.”

The various talks at this English-language conference will focus on themes like innovative approaches to machinery, plants, components and materials for solar production. The aim here is to allow participants to gain innovative and practical know-how from top speakers in the sector. The conference will feature guided tours around solarpeq 2010. About solarpeq
solarpeq – International Trade Fair for Solar Production Equipment will be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre for the first time from 28/09 to 1/10/2010. The event developed out of the very successful solar segment at glasstec, the world’s undisputed leading trade fair for the glass industry, glass machinery and equipment construction as well as the glazier trade with some 1,300 participating firms. solarpeq is tailored to solar production engineering for crystalline and thin-film photovoltaics. Firms here include machinery, plant, component and material manufacturers for solar end products. glasstec, for its part, continues to showcase modern applications in the solar segment such as building-integrated photovoltaics. Both fairs are held concurrently at directly adjacent locations and can be attended on the same admission ticket.
