Thermoseal Group boosts efficiency and export readiness with a new automated banding and collating machine for its Thermobar spacer bars.

Thermoseal Group has announced the completion of a bespoke banding and collating machine at its Wigan manufacturing site; a significant investment designed to enhance efficiency and meet growing export demand for its Thermobar spacer bars.

Developed in-house by Thermoseal Group’s engineering team, the new automated system aligns, collates and bands Thermobar ready for export, all in the correct orientation for bending machines commonly used in continental Europe.

“The new banding and collating line is another step forward in our continuous drive for automation and efficiency,” explained Mark Hickox, Sales Director at Thermoseal Group. “It not only streamlines production but ensures our spacer bars are perfectly prepared for customers using automated bending systems, particularly in export markets where this process is standard.”

Thermoseal Group manufactures its Thermobar spacer at its Wigan site using precision extrusion technology. Widely used in both manual and automated IGU production, Thermobar continues to gain international recognition for its quality, consistency and performance.

“Demand for Thermobar continues to grow globally,” added Mark. “With this new investment, we can ensure that every bundle leaving our factory is ready for efficient processing - wherever in the world it’s headed.”
