TGP Earns Washington State Building Trades Manufacturer of the Year Accolades

Date: 5 May 2014

Seattle Business magazine named Technical Glass Products (TGP) a 2014 Washington State Manufacturer of the Year Silver Award winner in the Building Trades category.

The annual award honors companies that exemplify the best in Washington state manufacturing.

"Our team members have put in a lot of hard work over the last few years. Whether they’re evaluating a new approach to manufacturing or solving design challenges, they work with a mindset of continual improvement," said Mike Powell, Director of Operations at Technical Glass Products. "It's an honor to have those efforts recognized by the Washington State Manufacturing Award committee."

In 2013, TGP increased employment, developed a new 20,000 square-foot powder coating facility, diversified product offerings and expanded operations to the Middle East. Identifying opportunities to streamline operations, such as bringing previously outsourced powder coating operations in-house, allowed the company to reduce costs and further improve product quality. TGP continues to work closely with design professionals, building code officials and partners to identify glass and framing solutions for the wide-ranging requirements of today's commercial buildings.
