On Saturday, May 4, 2019, Chris Dimou, Roto North America’s President & CEO, and Adam Bristol, Roto Frank of America’s Manufacturing Engineer, attended and judged the Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) Finals at UCONN’s Storrs campus.

Dimou is also a member on the CIC Board of Directors. Roto Frank of America, Inc. was a sponsor of the 2019 CT Invention Convention.

More than 8000 inventors, parents, judges, and business leaders attended the CIC finals, where approximately 850 inventions were on display. Winners from the finals go on to participate in the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo (NICEE.) Finalists are eligible for awards, grants, and sponsorships from corporations, foundations, individuals, and academic institutions.

The CIC is an internationally recognized, award winning, 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational program that helps develop and enhance critical thinking and problem solving in kids through invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The convention gives students an introduction to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM.) Annually over 275 CT schools and 17.000 students grades K-12 participate local CIC programs.
