With more than 15 years of experience, Engelstad is a seasoned technology executive with demonstrated expertise leading all facets of information technology teams. In his new senior-level role, he will set the objectives and strategies for the I.T. department, oversee the selection and implementation of new technology to streamline internal operations, and identify technological opportunities to improve the customer experience across all brands for PGT Innovations.
Most recently, Engelstad served as the Chief Information Officer for Western Window Systems, which was acquired by PGT Innovations in August 2018. In his role, he oversaw the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy and programs, including CustomView, Western Window Systems’ online quoting and manufacturing resource planning system. His team was also responsible for central I.T. infrastructure, applications and information security.
“As we continue to grow both within our core market of Florida and through strategic acquisitions like Western Window Systems, we continue to invest in our organization. With that said, we have created a new position of Chief Information Officer for PGT Innovations,” said Jeff Jackson, President and CEO, PGT Innovations. “We are transforming our business for the future and it’s important that we have an I.T. function positioned to protect our information technology and accelerate our evolution as a national window and door company.”
Prior to joining Western Window Systems in 2015, Engelstad held several senior positions at Bank of America, including Senior Vice President and Senior Technology Manager of Service Delivery, as well as Vice President of Application Design and Systems Engineering. He has also served as a Senior Architect and Programmer / Analyst for Countrywide Financial Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Bank of America.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to lead the PGT Innovations I.T. team in executing a strategy that enables synergies across all of the brands,” said Engelstad. “I’m also thrilled to be part of an organization that – much like Western Window Systems – places family as a main focus of its culture and includes core values of caring for its employees, customers, suppliers and the local communities. I look forward to leading my team in the effort to provide our customers with a continuously improving I.T. experience that helps them better achieve their business objectives.”
Engelstad earned an MBA from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from California Lutheran University.
