Overstock.com Selects View Dynamic Glass for New ‘Peace Coliseum’ Corporate Campus

Leading Online Retailer Embraces Wellness, Sustainability and Technology with Intelligent Glass – Today, Overstock.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSTK) and View, the leader in dynamic glass, announced that Overstock’s new corporate campus will incorporate View Dynamic Glass.

The project marks one of the largest installations of View Dynamic Glass to date and View will be delivering glass in summer 2015.The use of dynamic glass underscores Overstock’s commitment to prioritizing the wellness of its employees, while creating a leadingedge headquarters that contributes to a sustainable planet.



Companies are increasingly making the wellness, comfort and productivity of their employees a strategic imperative. Powered by a sophisticated intelligence engine, View’s dynamic glass automatically responds to outdoor conditions, people’s preferences and building layout. It will allow Overstock employees to have a comfortable work environment, while enjoying views and abundant natural light, which studies have shown improves well-being, productivity and health among people in office environments.

View Dynamic Glass eliminates the need for internal blinds and external shading structures. With View Dynamic Glass, Overstock’s employees will be able to stay connected to the outdoors and enjoy continuous views of the Wasatch Front mountain range and the Salt Lake Valley without glare or thermal discomfort. Daylight and expansive views will help inspire creative collaboration among Overstock employees, and support the company’s creative, innovative culture.

Overstock’s new campus is referred to as the “Peace Coliseum” because from above it will appear as a peace sign and at ground level is a corporate glass-and-concrete version of the Roman Coliseum. Located in Midvale, Utah, the building is set to open during summer 2016 and is being developed by Gardner Company, built by Okland Construction and designed by EDA Architects Inc.
