NGA’s Board of Directors, industry volunteers, and stakeholders recently revisited our strategic plan to reaffirm the Association’s Purpose and Vision and set updated goals for the next few years.

The NGA’s updated goals are: Advocate: Be a strong advocate to promote and defend the glass industry.  Educate: Drive excellence, safety and results through education and training. Workforce Development: Advance the industry as a viable, thriving and exciting career path. Promote: Elevate the image of glass as a safe, healthy, sustainable and inspiring building product.

“As we anticipated, the 2023 strategic planning meeting confirmed the NGA is on the right course since the combination of NGA and GANA in 2018,” said Nicole Harris, NGA’s president and CEO. “We have met or exceeded many of our initial objectives since establishing the association’s core goals. The one modification to our four goals we made during strategic planning, is replacing Grow with Workforce Development, in recognition of the continuing skilled labor shortage across all segments of our industry.”

NGA’s core purpose is to be the authority and resource for its members and the industry to grow successful businesses and to champion the benefits of glazing and glass building products. NGA’s mission, in support of its member companies, to:

  • Provide world-class education, training, technical and business products and services.
  • Promote best practices, safety and ethics in the workplace.
  • Protect the interests of our industries through legislative, regulatory and inter-industry advocacy.

The NGA continues to support the entire supply chain while pursuing its vision of a future where glass is the material of choice to enhance spaces where people live, play, learn, work, and heal.
