Miru Smart Technologies is a company based in Vancouver, Canada. We have over 60 employees. We’re a team of designers, engineers, scientists and innovators that have come together to create an incredible product that’s very unique on the market and has changed the face of where we will be going with electrochromic windows in the future.

Our electrochromic windows are fabricated in arguably the most simplistic manufacturing process. It’s comprised of multiple layers of glass that are co-laminated together with an interlayer that is co-developed with our American partner, Argotec, which is a Mativ brand based in Massachusetts. We take this entire product and simply integrate it with any controls that are desired by the OEM.

Two years ago, GPD was integral to where we stand today. We were able to network closely with Glaston, as well as other partners that helped us build the ecosystem supporting all of the major pillars of our product. And to this day, as we stand at GPD 2025, Glaston is really supporting us and our initiatives to bring new individuals into our manufacturing demonstration facility that we have at the Glaston R&D hall.

I think the most surprising thing in our journey has been the realization that speed can be accelerated beyond your imagination when you meet the right people at the right time. And, in our case, we’ve met some fantastic multinational companies that are capable of bringing our vision to life. That’s been the case with Mativ as well as Glaston. And it’s just been incredibly surprising how fast we’ve moved in a short period of time.
