Change in leadership and operations to drive innovation and growth.

Madico, Inc., one of the worlds’ leading manufacturers of coating and laminating solutions and a pioneer in the window film industry, announced that Shawn R. Kitchell will serve as the company’s new President following the retirement of longtime CEO Robert Connelly.

The company also announces intended changes in future operations related to its two US based coating and laminating facilities located in Woburn, MA and Saint Petersburg, FL.

“I am honored to be part of the Madico story and assume responsibility for leading this outstanding organization as we create our exciting future chapters.” said Kitchell. Previously serving as the company’s COO and SVP of Operations, Kitchell brings significant experience in the converting industry to the leadership of Madico. He will report to parent company Lintec (www.lintec‐global.com).

As a result of changes in the solar power industry and the exodus of PV module production to China, Madico, who has been making premium quality PV components at the Woburn, MA facility for more than 28 years, will cease manufacturing of these products in mid‐2017.

With this shift, Kitchell will evolve the Massachusetts operation and lead the formation of a new business innovation center where shared services, R&D, engineering, and laboratory testing facilities will be well aligned to develop new products and technologies to support existing segments and pursue new market opportunities well into the future.

Madico will continue to drive manufacturing excellence and growth at the Saint Petersburg, FL site through investment in new facilities, equipment, technologies, and the transfer of unique and critical manufacturing assets from its Woburn, MA facility.

Madico is committed to continually improving and this significant investment in manufacturing capabilities and added human resources will position the company well for ongoing growth in both the window film and specialty film segments.
