Profiglass has been working with LiSEC technology since the early 1990s, integrating various machines for insulating glass production and spacer processing over the years.

Founded in 1989 in Belgrade, Serbia, Profiglass has developed from a small family business into a reliable supplier of insulating glass for window manufacturers. With a team of around 30 employees, the company focuses on one key principle: delivering consistent product quality that customers can rely on in their own large-scale production.

This consistency is essential in the window industry, where even small deviations in insulating glass can affect performance. Profiglass addresses this challenge with clearly defined production standards, certified materials, and a strong emphasis on process reliability. Dragan Krusic, Production Manager at Profiglass, summarizes the company’s approach:

"The customer buys only one product, but they are selling 1000 units of the product – the quality must be the same."

A partnership built on experience

Profiglass has been working with LiSEC technology since the early 1990s, integrating various machines for insulating glass production and spacer processing over the years. This long-standing cooperation is built not only on technological performance, but also on practical experience in day-to-day production.

One decisive factor is durability. Machines installed decades ago continue to operate reliably, demonstrating the long-term value of the investment and the robustness of LiSEC engineering.

Next step: investing in modern spacer bending

To meet increasing demands for efficiency and quality, Profiglass recently decided to invest in a new LiSEC BSV-45NK bending machine.

The decision was based on a combination of reasons: positive experience with existing equipment, the reputation of LiSEC bending technology on the market, and the need to further stabilize production processes. Particularly in spacer production, precision is crucial, as it directly impacts the quality and performance of the final insulating glass unit.

Improved process stability and efficiency thanks to the LiSEC BSV-45NK

Even in the initial phase, the new LiSEC BSV-45NK has demonstrated clear advantages in the production. The machine enables precise and repeatable bending results, supporting stable processes across a wide range of spacer dimensions.

The integrated 15-slot magazine increases flexibility and ensures smooth material handling during production. The automatic magazine selects the correct compartment, further reducing manual intervention and increasing process reliability.

In addition, the BSV-45NK is equipped with a heating device, enabling the processing of warm bendable, glass-fibre reinforced plastic spacers, opening up additional application possibilities. The system also allows the processing of free special shapes, as DXF drawings can be imported directly into the machine control. At the same time, process control helps to reduce material losses, and the use of an automatically width-adjustable bending tool minimises manual effort.

Production volumes at Profiglass vary depending on customer demand, with several hundred spacers processed per day. The BSV-45NK supports this variability while maintaining consistent output quality.

From the company’s perspective, one aspect stood out right from the start: “The quality of the bending is very good.”, says Dragan Krusic, Production Manager at Profiglass.

In summary: consistency as a competitive advantage

For Profiglass, the investment is not only about increasing capacity, but above all about ensuring reliability. In insulating glass production, every unit must perform exactly as expected — this requires stable processes and precise components.

The new LiSEC BSV-45NK contributes directly to this goal. By combining proven bending technology with modern machine design, it provides the foundation for consistent spacer quality — and therefore for reliable insulating glass performance.

Setting the course for the future

With decades of experience, a clear quality philosophy, and continuous investment in modern production technology, Profiglass is well positioned for the future. The new BSV bender is another step in strengthening production efficiency and maintaining the high standards their customers expect — reinforcing a partnership with LiSEC that has already proven its value over many years.
