glasstec Virtual Edition is here!

From 20 to 22 October 2020 the new digital networking platform will provide the international glass sector with extensive insights into the state of the industry.

“The course we have charted is important to the industry these days. With glasstec VIRTUAL we offer the global world of glass an additional contact platform – driven by the leading international trade fair and its leading position, the high internationality and the quality and expertise of contacts. Until this morning over 2,000 experts from the sector have already registered,” says Birgit Horn, Project Director glasstec.

At the ‘Exhibition Showroom’ about 800 companies are presented. In addition, there are 65 interactive web sessions where the exhibitors introduce virtual visitors to their companies as well as products and solutions live.

The ‘Conference Area’ offers twenty expert lectures from industry and science with a reference to globally trending themes. During the Conference the international trade audience will be able to find out online about the latest developments and trends in the glass industry worldwide and to interact with the speakers to experience the talks “hands-on” from all over the world. The first two conference days will be rounded off by the “Glass Association Summit” organised by trade journal ‘glass worldwide’.

Networking forms an essential part of any trade fair – a physical or virtual format. At glasstec VIRTUAL this will be made possible by the Matchmaking Tool. Via the Networking Plaza visitors and exhibitors will be able to make and maintain contacts during and also after the event. By enquiring about special areas of interest and extensive filter functions new and existing contacts can be identified and established quickly. Once an appointment has been made, personal audio or video conversations can be held between exhibitors and customers in virtual rooms.
