GG Glass was appointed by Clark Contracts to supply and install all windows and glazed entrances at the new build development on Potterrow.

The building includes 52 studio apartments along with common rooms and amenity areas across six floors and was designed and built using stone cladding to sit comfortably with the surrounding environment. Off-site construction was used to create bathroom pods, improving the build quality and reduce time spent on site.

GG Glass where involved the design of the glazing specification, manufacturing all units locally followed by full installation using their local in-house team.

A Senior Architectural System was chosen comprising SPW600 Windows, SPW300/600 Louvre Guards, SF52 Curtain Walling and SD Door.

An automatic door was introduced at ground level and a combination of double and triple glazed window units where installed throughout.

Stephen Welsh, Branch Manager at GG Glass commented: “This project reflects the complete one stop capability of the business. From initial design and specification through to manufacturing in house and installation, GG Glass is increasingly being recognised at the commercial glazing business of choice for contractors across Scotland.

“We worked closely with Clark Contracts throughout the contract period to deliver a first class glazing solution. We realised every benchmark and enjoyed positive feedback from the client both during works and upon completion.”
