First Circular Vacuum Glass Production Facility to Open in the Netherlands

The location in Stadskanaal is currently under development and will play a key role in advancing sustainability across Europe.

Circular and Ultra Low Carbon
The new GG-NedVac vacuum glass to be produced at this facility is revolutionary in its composition: a combination of Low Carbon base glass and circular glass, resulting in an ultra-low CO₂ footprint. This makes the product unique in the Netherlands and a significant step toward circular and sustainable construction and renovation.

Dutch Production, Global Impact
The decision to produce in the Netherlands was made deliberately due to short supply chains, low transport emissions, and the availability of suitable space in Stadskanaal. GGG contributes years of experience in glass production, while Leadus provides technical expertise, patents, and innovation.

Certification and Quality Assurance
The circular vacuum glass has already received testing according TÜV EN673. CE certification has been initiated by GGG and Leadus and is expected to be completed within approximately 8 months. Additional testing and certifications for the entire product range, including circular variants, are currently underway.

Largest Showroom in the Netherlands
To support painters, glass dealers, architects, project developers, housing associations, homeowner associations (VvEs), and property owners, the largest showroom in the Netherlands has been established in Zwanenburg (Amsterdam). Here, professionals will soon be able to experience the circular vacuum glass firsthand and discover how it contributes to sustainable and aesthetic building solutions.
