Fensterbau Frontale takes place as a one-off “Summer Edition” from 12 to 15 July 2022.

In around two months’ time, innovations in windows, doors and facades will be on display at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, when FENSTERBAU FRONTALE takes place as a one-off “Summer Edition” from 12 to 15 July 2022. As always, the event will run alongside HOLZ-HANDWERK, which you can visit using the same ticket. The focus will be on discovering and trying out products and solutions, when at long last the trade fair will once again be the No. 1 platform for industry players for whom there is no substitute for making new business contacts and enjoying personal encounters and networking at a live event. Alongside the exhibition, the supporting programme also offers a comprehensive overview of the market, information on the latest industry trends, and many opportunities for professional development. The main hub for compact knowledge transfer, networking, and a coffee with colleagues and business partners is the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE FORUM, which communicates practical knowledge in a series of presentations by experts. This year’s topics include energy efficiency and climate protection, ventilation and comfortable living spaces, PVC windows, and practical tips from tradespeople for tradespeople. The adjacent Job Board links employers with potential candidates.

Window, door and facade construction goes digital

Digitalisation will be one of the key topics at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2022. Satisfied customers are crucial to the business success of any skilled trade enterprise. This can be achieved with the help of skilled staff, efficient work processes, profit-driven business models, and innovative products and services. The digitalisation process makes the interaction of these success factors more transparent and easier than ever to plan and manage. But in what specific ways can digital transformation be put into practice in skilled trades enterprises? Find the answers in the talks and presentations in the newly created forum “A Practical Guide to Digitisation for Craftspeople”

The focus will be on issues of CO2 efficiency and using sustainable windows and structural components to protect against climate extremes like heat waves, hurricanes, hailstorms and floods. Solutions will be presented along with other exhibitors at various themed display areas at the stand.

The interactive format Expert Talks by Reinhold Kober from Book Your Video GmbH & Co. KG will make its debut at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE. Every afternoon has a different theme. The discussions with experts actively encourage input from the audience on topics like mounting frames, the PVC windows of the future, use of reflective materials rather than insulation to cut CO2, and digitalisation in window construction.

After the long break due to the pandemic, this is an important gathering place for tradespeople working in the window and facade sector and steel and metal construction industry. “The summer edition of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE offers a lot of highlights,” Elgass continues. “Our partners will be on hand with innovations and new products to help business owners manage their day-to-day tasks and position themselves effectively for the future.” For more information, please go to: www.metallbautreff.de

Information and presentations for architects and designers

The Architecture-Window-Facade Forum, which is jointly organised by the trade journals xia and AIT, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In line with the theme: “Robust. Responsible resource use. Adaptability. Resilience”, it will once again be putting relevant questions from the trade fair in an overarching context. To create sustainable buildings, issues like social equity, mobility, digitalisation and climate-friendly building play an increasingly greater role for architects and engineers. There is a need to build robustly and responsibly, while recognising and exploiting influences and developments outside one’s own “bubble”. The point is not just to conceive of a resilient city but to realise it and thus bring about a meaningful transformation and crucial changes to make the city sustainable and equip it for the future. In this context, there is a need to find architectural solutions that refocus on traditional building methods while exploiting natural phenomena and protecting the climate.
