Building as Green as Glass Conference: Registrations Open

The conference Building as Green as Glass is an internationally renowned event dedicated to exploring the crucial role of glass in the design of sustainable cities.

The meeting represents a valuable opportunity for industry professionals who wish to delve deeper into the new challenges and trends related to the glass industry for Green Building. 

The event will start at 14.00:14.30 pm with the registration of participants and a welcome coffee that will offer an informal moment of networking before the start of the proceedings. Afterwards, from XNUMX:XNUMX pm, the conference will get into full swing with introductions by leading figures such as Dino Zandonella Necca (president VITRUM), Marco Ravasi (President of ASSOVETRO), Daniele Predari (President of GLASS GROUP), Francesco Conci (CEO of Fiera Milano) and Alicia Durán (President of International Year of Glass 2022).

The event will continue with a round table divided into three thematic panels, moderated by the journalist Martina Fragale, which will explore in depth the opportunities of Green Building and environmental sustainability in the glass sector:

Panel 1 – Green Deal, the driving force behind the decarbonisation of Italian real estate.
An overview of public and private initiatives aimed at implementing the proposals of the Green Deal on the national territory, through real estate decarbonisation projects.

Panel 2 – The Impact of Environmental Sustainability on the Glass Industry.
Economic effects and regulatory implications at global level, from the latest revision of the CAM to the perspectives of Italian and international Associations on the role of glass for sustainable and innovative construction.

Panel 3 – Green Building and Circular Economy: The Strategic Role of Glass.
Companies and professionals share their vision of sustainability in order to design winning projects in a constantly evolving global context, answering strategic questions. How to combine functionality, ecological responsibility and aesthetics in building sectorWhat function should be attributed to artificial intelligence in this context?

The day will end with the presentation of the exhibition “Glass: an endless story of materials, men, products”. Scheduled for 2025, the exhibition aims to celebrate the thousand-year-old tradition of glass, from when working it was almost considered a magical art, up to the most modern machines and technologies of today, highlighting the timeless potential of this material.
