British Glass celebrates Dave Dalton MBE in King’s Birthday Honours

Dave, who retired from British Glass in April 2026, has spent more than 45 years championing glass and representing the interests of the UK glass sector. His career has seen him become one of the industry’s most respected voices, advocating for glass manufacturers with government, regulators, national and international bodies, and across the wider manufacturing community.

The honour recognises Dave’s long-standing commitment to the glass industry and his significant contribution to promoting glass as a sustainable, innovative and essential material for the future.

During his time at British Glass, Dave played a central role in strengthening the sector’s profile, supporting members through periods of major change, and ensuring the industry’s voice was heard on issues including energy, decarbonisation, recycling, skills, investment and industrial competitiveness.
