Heat Relective Windscreens

As must people in the repair business will be aware, the heat reflective screens that have appeared over the last few years tend to discolour and silver around the damaged area, owing to what I assume is oxidation of the metals used. Is there a product or resin in the market that can reduce the silvering effect (possibly by effectively eating the metal in the damaged area or re-tinting) to affect a half decent repair?
