Vitro Glass, the largest glass manufacturer in the Americas, is joining VueReal, a leader in micro printing technology, to advance the interactivity and functionality of glass.

“Innovation and collaboration are central to Vitro’s success, and we are excited to be partnering with VueReal to assist in the evolution of display technology,” says Vitro Chief Executive Officer Adrián Sada Cueva. “Together, our aim is to enhance the experience consumers have with glass in their homes, cars, buildings and beyond.”

Canada-based VueReal intends to turn the potential of microLED technology into reality by enabling the true-life displays needed by the next generation of smartphones, TVs, laptops, virtual/augmented reality systems and displays. MicroLED is an emerging flat panel display technology that uses arrays of microscopic LEDs to form individual pixel elements.

VueReal CEO, Reza Chaji, said, “We are pleased to add Vitro to our base of world-class partners. Their leading-edge manufacturing capability and innovation-driven approach will bring commercial scale and supply-chain efficiency that will accelerate development and expand market opportunities.”

Other companies joining Vitro in the advancement of VueReal’s efforts to bring MicroLED production to an industrial scale include Samsung Ventures, LG Electronics and TDK.
