IC2 timber curtainwalls deliver 60 to 90 percent improvements in energy efciencies; complement Unicel’s market-leading integrated louvers and skylight solutions.

Unicel Architectural, manufacturer of vision and daylight control solutions, today announced that it has acquired all the assets of IC2 Technologies Inc. based in Portneuf, QC. Specialized in the fabrication of high energy-efficiency timber curtain walls, IC2 is an industry leader in the construction of passive houses and carbon-neutral buildings. The acquisition accelerates Unicel’s plans to grow its target market by extending the scope of its sustainable building envelope offerings and capabilities.

IC2’s THERM+ H-I curtain wall integrates RAICO glazing and sealing technology that can be mounted on any kind of timber or derivative timber product. Based in Germany, RAICO Bautechnik GmbH develops high quality glazing systems for curtain walls. With its own invisible wooden connector system and an effective 3-level drainage system, this highly versatile RAICO technology can easily be installed in buildings with a steel, concrete or timber structure.
