From A to Z: everything you need to know for your visit to glasstec 2026
From 20 to 23 October 2026, the international glass industry will once again come together in Düsseldorf. To help you plan your visit and find your way around on site, we have compiled the most important services, contact points and tips for glasstec 2026. The trade fair is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on all four days.
A – Arrival
Whether you are travelling by train, car or plane, there are several ways to reach the Exhibition Centre. By public transport, you can use the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe Nord or Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße stops. From Düsseldorf Airport, the U80 takes you directly to Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße, while the U81 reaches MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe Nord in around seven minutes. B – Bus-Shuttle
If you are travelling by car, follow the signs to visitor car parks P1 and P2. Free shuttle buses run from there to the entrances of the Exhibition Centre.
C – Catering
Coffee between appointments, a quick lunch or a break with colleagues: there are various catering options available across the Exhibition Centre. You can find an overview in the
D – Digital companion: the glasstec app
Search for exhibitors and products, bookmark events or find your way to the next stand: the free glasstec app helps you plan and navigate your visit. You can also store your ticket directly in the app. Exhibitors, products and events can be saved as favourites via myOrganizer.
E – Events & Exhibitors
Who will be at glasstec 2026? The Exhibitor & Product Search gives you an overview of participating companies as well as information on products and services. This allows you to identify interesting contacts before your visit.
F – Fair Match
Find relevant contacts and arrange appointments directly: Fair Match is a new networking feature in the glasstec app for 2026. Based on your interests, you receive personalised suggestions for exhibitors and other participants. You can save contacts, exchange messages and arrange meetings via the app. The service is free of charge
G – Garment storage
There is no need to carry your coat or luggage through the halls. Free cloakrooms are available at the entrances throughout the trade fair. They open 1.5 hours before the fair starts and close one hour after it ends.
H – Hall map
glasstec 2026 takes place in Halls 10 to 17 as well as parts of the outdoor exhibition area. Entrances North A, North B and East are open. The interactive hall map shows exhibitors, products and stand numbers and helps you navigate the Exhibition Centre. A hall overview is also available as a PDF.
I – Information points
Information stands are located throughout the Exhibition Centre. Our staff will be happy to help with any questions you may have.
J – Just in time
To make sure you do not miss any current updates, highlights or last-minute changes, we recommend subscribing to the glasstec newsletter. You can also check myOrganizer or our website for the latest information each day.
K – Key feature: glass art
glasstec also includes a dedicated art exhibition, glass art, alongside the latest technologies and industry topics. The exhibition puts glass centre stage as an artistic material.
L – „Love language“ #WeAreGlass
Have you come across our claim yet? With #WeAreGlass, we highlight the sense of community within the industry and the work we share. Feel free to use the hashtag in your own social media posts.
M – Machine demonstrations
glasstec features live demonstrations of current manufacturing technologies in the glass industry. Visit the exhibitors directly or subscribe to our newsletter so you do not miss any highlights.
N – Networking
glasstec is a meeting place for the international glass industry. There are plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas at exhibitor stands, during sessions and across the programme. New for 2026 is women in glass, a networking format that brings women from the glass industry together and creates space for exchange, visibility and new contacts.
O – Opening Hours
glasstec 2026 takes place from Tuesday, 20 October, to Friday, 23 October 2026. The halls are open to visitors daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
P – Parking
Visitor parking is available at the large P1 and P2 car parks, among others. Free shuttle buses run from there to the entrances. Please note that payment at P1 and P2 is cashless only. Parking tickets can also be purchased online in advance.

R – Re-entry
As a visitor, you can leave the Exhibition Centre at any time during the trade fair and return later. Please make sure you have your ticket ready for the re-entry check.
S – Special shows
In addition to the conference programme, glasstec 2026 features numerous special areas and events. These include glass technology live, CraftsLIVE, the Start-Up Zone, glass art, the Young Innovators joint stand, the ift Rosenheim special show and Connected Machines.
T – Tickets
The easiest way to buy your ticket is in advance via the online ticket shop. An online day ticket costs €44, a two-day ticket €65 and a season ticket €99. If you have received a voucher code from an exhibitor, you can also redeem it online.
U – Useful tips for your accommodation
Accommodation can be difficult to find at short notice during the trade fair. Hotels in Düsseldorf offer a range of options across different price categories. We recommend booking early. Our partners can also assist you with any questions; further information is available on the website.
V – Varied programme
From specialist talks to live demonstrations, the full programme can be searched online by day, stage and format. As times or programme details may change at short notice, it is worth checking the latest programme overview shortly before your visit.
W – WiFi
WiFi is available in the halls, entrance areas and outdoor areas of Messe Düsseldorf. The network is called “HOTSPOT”.
X – X-tra tip J
Comfortable shoes are well worth bringing. glasstec extends across eight halls, as well as programme areas and outdoor exhibition space. Planning your day in advance can help reduce walking distances and make it easier to combine appointments.
Y – Young Professionals
glasstec also offers plenty of opportunities for young professionals. Handwerk Live focuses on the glazier trade, while young companies present their solutions in formats including the Start-Up Zone and the Young Innovators joint stand.
Z – Zones & accessibility
Messe Düsseldorf offers a range of services to make the Exhibition Centre accessible. These include step-free access to the halls, lifts, accessible toilets, seating and rest areas, as well as wheelchair and e-scooter hire. Accessible toilets are available in all halls.
