Date: 15 April 2026
Success mixed with uncertainty, this is unfortunately the result of the event that closed its doors on Friday, 10th April, and featured four days with a focus on ideas, people and business opportunities.
But the shadow of the critical global political situation due to the ongoing war in the Middle East affected the show, since a large share of the glass industry from that area was absent. This provoked an expected reduction in attendance in comparison to the previous edition in Shanghai, two years ago.
However, China Glass offered its best in terms of machinery and accessories, some of which were of a suitable quality and visitors came from local areas as well as from Asia, Oceania and Europe in search of news and ideas.
As part of the Italian Pavilion, RCN met with existing customers and friends from the rest of the world, while cultivating new potential prospects.
It was a great pleasure to receive the visit of the Italian Consul in Shanghai, Dr Tiziana D’Angelo, accompanied by Vice-Consul Dr Stefania Motelliti; Dr Fabio De Cillis, Director and Trade Commissioner of the Shanghai ICE Office; Dr. Donato Morea, Head of China and East Asia of SACE, and by Dr. Lucia Masutti, Director of Gimav.
This meeting represented a moment of particular institutional relevance for our company: the attention and interest of the Italian Government have been highly appreciated, especially because RCN had the opportunity to explain its business and projects.
Although results have not been the same as the previous edition, the show has offered interesting hints and the chance to deal with new challenges.
We feel confident that China Glass 2027 will take place in a better world atmosphere and that the entire world can meet again without restrictions.
