The National Glass Association is pleased to welcome Robert Russel to the team as the new senior account executive, working within the sales department.

Russel brings with him years of relevant experience in association work; including member relations, marketing and business development.

"We're excited to welcome Rob to the NGA team and to introduce him to the world of glass and fenestration. His years of experience in association environments and client services give him a strong foundation for the work we do — connecting industry partners with the right platforms to reach their audiences and achieve their goals. I look forward to seeing the relationships he builds across our magazine and events portfolios," says NGA Vice President of Development and Exhibit Sales Sarah Swango. "Rob has spent his career doing what we value most — listening to clients and finding the best ways to serve them. That's exactly what our partners across Glass Magazine, Window + Door, GlassBuild America, BEC Conference, and GFAB deserve. We're glad to have him on board."

Most recently, Russel served as the director of membership at the American Sportfishing Association, where he oversaw membership goals, initiatives and board directives, achieving significant revenue growth and implementing innovative systems like iMIS and CV.  He has successfully developed relationships with major organizations such as Walmart, L.L. Bean, and Academy Sports, while also spearheading programs that generate new revenue streams for nonprofit foundations.

Previously, Russel held roles such as member relations manager at the American Sportfishing Association, where he cultivated member relationships, implemented renewal campaigns and expanded member benefits. He also served as manager of marketing & business development at Servpro, where he built a marketing department from the ground up, generating nearly $1 million in revenue within two years.

"I am very excited to join such a dynamic team at the National Glass Association," says Russel. "The glass industry plays a vital role in innovation and sustainability, as does the NGA. I look forward to advancing its impact and supporting our members' continued growth by building strong partnerships, delivering value to members, and helping organizations navigate an evolving marketplace."
