Core training for production personnel combines online and skills-based instruction

NGA will introduce MyGlassFAB, a training platform for production personnel, at GlassBuild America, October 31 - November 2, 2023, in Atlanta. Powered by NGA’s MyGlassClass.com, MyGlassFAB provides companies with consistent, core training for glass fabrication employees.

The new platform combines online courses with skills-based activities to help ensure production personnel have the fundamental skills necessary to perform their duties safely and accurately. Initial training focuses on safety, glass measurement techniques, math, and glass quality and defect inspection. Accessible via web browser on computer or smart phone, MyGlassFAB will expand to address processes related to tempering, lamination, and more, in the future.

“Consistent training can be a challenge when companies rely primarily on informal, one-one-one instruction,” says Jenni Chase, NGA vice president of workforce development. “MyGlassFAB offers training that fabricators can deploy and track across their entire workforce.”

To further its goal of driving excellence, safety and results through education and training, NGA will offer MyGlassFAB at no cost to GlassBuild America glass fabricator attendees. To learn more, and to receive a discount code for free MyGlassFAB training, visit the Industry Pavilion, booth #1303.
