Global Home Improvements sells triple glazing with SWISSPACER V

Date: 13 September 2011
Global Home Improvements, Dublin’s longest established and best known home improvement company is installing triple glazing with SWISSPACER V as standard to take advantage of homeowners’ appetite for energy efficient windows.

The company, which has been in business for 31 years and sells exclusively to the retail market, started using SWISSPACER V in its windows three years ago after seeing the benefits of its outstanding thermal performance. It now specifies the UK and Ireland’s No 1 warm edge spacer bar inside all of its windows.

Global Home Improvements Managing Director, Barry Shevlin says: “We worked with our glass and profile suppliers and we researched a number of warm edge spacer bars throughout Europe but nothing compared to Swisspacer V in regard to design, quality and longevity. SWISSPACER V came out on top because of its thermal performance. It was suggested we use other warm edge spacers but nothing compared to SWISSPACER on any level.

“SWISSPACER helps us achieve the best ‘A’ rated windows and lowest U-values. With it we can achieve a U-value of 1.0 W/m2K. SWISSPACER is also the best quality warm edge spacer on the market. Global has a very strict quality programme in place and insists in using only the highest specification materials for our products. We offer an all inclusive guarantee on our windows for 15 years. So it’s critical that we only use the best materials. This ensures our windows meet our exacting standards. SWISSPACER gives us, and our customers, confidence that our guarantees will last.”

Global Home Improvements became the first company in Ireland and the UK to offer triple glazed windows as standard and has been doing triple glazing for the last two years. Barry continues: “Other companies offer triple glazing as an option but we’re the only company to install it as standard. Triple glazing provides our customers with the ultimate solution to reducing their energy bills and protects their home against rising energy costs over the coming years. The market for triple glazed windows will grow as it helps homeowners’ future proof their homes and make them more energy efficient. SWISSPACER is best for triple glazing because its design means it will last a lifetime.”
