GlasWeld in Bend, Ore., announced the appointment of GlasWeld Australia Pty. Ltd. as its exclusive distributor for all GlasWeld products in Australia.

GlasWeld Australia Pty. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cleveland Tungsten (Aust) Pty. Ltd. and is located in Revesby, Australia. Sales and marketing for the distributorship will be managed by Garry Sylvester, who previously managed a national call center sales force for Belron and worked for NGS Glass as a national accounts representative.

Sylvester recently spent a week at GlasWeld’s corporate headquarters in Bend, Oregon in the United States training on products, sales and marketing. “I am so impressed with the caliber of the team at GlasWeld. The level of professionalism is top notch,” says Sylvester. “There is nothing like this in Australia and there is a huge need for glass repair. We can save our customers valuable time and money, plus the environmental benefits are fantastic. With GlasWeld’s windscreen, scratch removal, and headlight repair products and the corporate team behind us, the possibilities are endless.”

GlasWeld general manager Dennis Garbutt adds, “Garry fits right in with the way GlasWeld does business. He is a true professional and we look forward to growing the Australian market with his sales and marketing leadership.”
