Messe Düsseldorf celebrates 25th edition in autumn 2018 –registrations welcome with immediate effect.

When autumn 2018 sees the doors of Düsseldorf’s trade fair open once again for the world’s most important glass trade fair and the exhibition halls fill, there will be many new highlights to see and an anniversary to celebrate.

From 23 to 26 October 2018 glasstec will celebrate its 25th edition. glasstec celebrated its premiere in 1970 and has not lost any of its function and fascination over its almost 50 years of existence.

The more complex the products, systems and processes became for the individual trades, the more important was direct dialogue among all players in the industry – be it manufacturers, dealers, architects or skilled craftsmen. glasstec is a marketplace, trendsetter, innovation and information platform and remains the No. 1 trade fair for the glass sector worldwide.

As of now companies in the fields of machine manufacturing, industry and skilled crafts can register for glasstec 2018 – International Trade Fair for Glass Production, Processing and Products.

glasstec is the leading trade fair for the glass industry, registering more than 1,230 exhibitors from over 50 countries in 2016. It covers the entire value chain for glass with an unrivalled cross-section of top-notch companies.

Thanks to the high international exhibitors’ attendance glasstec also attracts a high-calibre audience. At the last glasstec in 2016 71% of the over 40,000 trade visitors came from abroad.

Exhibitors can register for glasstec at the direct link www.glasstec.de/1330 and the companies that already participated in 2016 can fall back on pre-filled, read-and-write forms. Stand space allocation is scheduled to start on 1 December 2017.

Leading-Edge Side Events

In addition to the exhibitors’ wide and varied ranges covering the areas of glass production, manufacturing technology, glass finishing and processing as well as numerous glass products and applications, glasstec has a unique and extensive programme of supporting events in store.

For many years the highlight has been the Special Show glass technology live. Now under the guidance of Prof. Ulrich Knaack (Technical University of Darmstadt) forward-looking exhibits from glass technology, production and applications will be presented. The Special Show will be complemented by the glasstec conference.

As a major think-tank the glasstec conference pools the well-known lectures by high-calibre speakers thereby fusing theory and practice. The series of meetings will be kicked off by “function meets glass” on Monday before the official start of glasstec.

Also forming an integral component again will be “engineered transparency” and the Architecture Congress, which will be dovetailed even more closely. Individual sessions on the topics glass production, markets and technology will be organised by the partners HVG-DGG, BV Glas and VDMA.

The glass processing crafts will be presented for the third time now in their Special Show “Craft live”. Here the top innovations will be demonstrated in practical applications on an activity area. At the “glass art” exhibition leading international artists will be showcased.
