Achieving the silver level requirements of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) in the UK and Ireland, GLASSOLUTIONS has been recognised as promoting best practice in the transport sector. It reflects the company’s substantial investment in new vehicles equipped to the highest safety standards, driver training and stringent environmental performance management.

Bestowed to commercial vehicle operators across the European fleet industry demonstrating exemplary transportation logistics management, the FORS Silver accreditation obtained by GLASSOLUTIONS encompasses its fleet of 87 vehicles across 19 UK operating centres.

Head of Marketing, Adam Taylor, says: “Safety, efficiency and environmental protection are integral to the way we operate as a company. Gaining FORS Silver accreditation demonstrates how this ethos extends beyond production of our market leading glazing solutions to also encompass the highest standards in transportation logistics safety and management.

“Our commitment to best practice and operational efficiency in every aspect of our business extends to measuring, monitoring and improving our logistical performance which is integral to our success.

“Attaining FORS standard accreditation illustrates how we provide our customers with complete reliability assurance as their glass and glazing supply chain partner - right through to the point of delivery. Our intention is to achieve Gold standard in the next 12 months.”

GLASSOLUTIONS owns a fleet of delivery vehicles including a number of HGV, LGV and vans which transport glazing solutions throughout the UK. The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme is an impartial, independent body with over 4,250 accredited members and must be reviewed every 12 months.
