Luca Toscini and Walter da Riz open Glassman Italy on Day 2

European Domestic Glass and Assovetro will deliver a keynote speech at Glassman Italy 2026, the premier exhibition and conference for the hollow and container glass industry.

Luca Tosini, President of EDG (European Domestic Glass) will open day 2 of Glassman Italy with a keynote presentation titled, “Domestic Glass Sector: opportunities and threats of decarbonization.

With a degree in Industrial Chemistry and an Executive Masters in Business Administration, Tosini holds over 20 years of experience in the glass industry having begun his career in 2000. He currently holds the role of Strategic Purchasing Director at Bormioli Luigi SpA and in 2021 began his experience on the Board of the European trade association EDG, which led him to assume the role of Chariman of ISO TC 166 and President of the association.

Following on after Tosini, Walter da Riz, Director of Assovetro since 2020, will present at Glassman Italy. With a career spanning over two decades in the Oil & Gas sector, GSE, and public service, and an educational background in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, da Riz brings extensive experience in business development, institutional relations, and industry leadership.

In his keynote, da Riz will focus on the conference theme: Can Decarbonisation and Digitalisation Reignite the Glass Industry?”, exploring how these factors are shaping the future of glass production.

Powered by Glass International, Glassman Italy 2026 will be held on February 4-5 at BolognaFiere, uniting leaders from the hollow and container glass sectors to explore the latest technologies, sustainability trends, and market developments.

The conference will feature a diverse lineup of expert speakers from leading industry companies, covering topics such as AI, digital technologies, sustainability, emerging technologies, growth markets and SWOT in the hollow/container glass industry.
