Keynotes, Exhibitors & Innovation: Glassman Italy 2026 Preview

The hollow and container glass industry’s most anticipated event of the year, Glassman Italy 2026, opens next week on 4–5 February at BolognaFiere, Italy, bringing the global glass community together for two days of demonstrations, trend insights, networking opportunities and strategic discussions.

Conference Programme Overview

The main focus of the conference centres around the question: Can decarbonisation and digitalisation reignite the glass industry? This theme will be explored during the conference and exhibition, combining technical insight with practical examples.

Day 2 opens with keynote addresses from Luca Tosini, President of European Domestic Glass, presenting Domestic Glass Sector: Opportunities and Threats of Decarbonisation, followed by Walter da Riz, Director of Assovetro.

Day One – Italian Industry Showcase

Day one features a comprehensive Italian industry showcase, bringing together leading technology providers to highlight plant innovation, furnace advancements, and decarbonisation solutions. Presentations from Falorni Tech, Stara Glass, Pneumofore, Glass Service Italy, BDF Industries, Fives, Glass Service CZ, SEFPRO, and Sorg will explore the future of hollow and container glass production, covering topics such as furnace modelling, electric and oxy-gas forehearths, advanced melting technologies, and strategies to reduce CO₂ emissions across glassmaking operations.

Day Two - External perspectives

After the keynote speeches, the day continues with insights from leading international technology providers and research organisations, from Land Ametek, Glass Technology Services (GTS), and Glass Futures. Key topics covered include thermal imaging in hybrid furnaces, lightweighting developments, and low-carbon fuel trials. These sessions offer attendees expert views on innovation, sustainability, and the future of glass production.

Visitors and Exhibitors

Doors will open to welcome visitors from leading international glass manufacturers and brand owners, from Bormioli Luigi, Zignago Vetro, Stoelzle Italia, Verallia, Vetri Speciali, O-I, Vetropack, Vaider Group, Ardagh, Basturk Cam, plus many more. Spanning across the glass value chain from manufacturers, processors, raw material and equipment suppliers, to packaging specialists, plant managers, engineers, and technology and sustainability innovators.
