The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is pleased to announce the launch of GGF Wales with a new regional event designed to support businesses working across the glass and glazing industry.

The event will take place on the 7th July 2026 at the Elephant and Castle Hotel in Newtown, Powys, and will bring together experts from across the industry to provide practical advice, technical guidance and support for businesses operating in Wales.

Running from 10:00am to 4:00pm, the event has been created to help members and industry professionals learn more about the support available through the GGF Group and its partner organisations.

The event forms part of the GGF’s ongoing commitment to supporting businesses at a regional level and helping companies stay informed about the latest industry developments, regulations and services available to them.

Ann-marie Waugh, Regional Manager at the GGF, commented: “We do a huge amount of work supporting businesses across the UK, but it is equally important that we support our regional members who face their own unique set of challenges and regulatory changes.

“GGF Wales gives businesses the opportunity to access expert advice, technical support and guidance much closer to home, while also helping strengthen relationships across the industry in Wales.”

Visitors attending the event will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from a range of organisations across the GGF Group.

GGF representatives will be available throughout the day to provide guidance on all aspects of membership and explain how the Federation can help businesses through technical support, advice, networking opportunities and industry representation.

GGF Training will also be attending to discuss the wide range of training courses and qualifications available to businesses and installers across the sector. The team will be able to provide information on training opportunities designed to help companies improve skills, meet industry standards and support staff development.

FENSA will be available to offer support and advice relating to registrations and compliance requirements, while Installsure will provide guidance on insurance products, including Insurance Backed Guarantees.

Representatives from RISA will also be attending to explain the inspection process and answer questions from businesses looking to better understand inspections and compliance procedures.

BFRC will be present at the event to provide information about testing services and explain the preferential rates available to GGF members.

A key part of the event will be a technical presentation delivered by Kevin Jones, Head of Technical at the GGF.

During the presentation, Kevin will discuss the latest Welsh regulations and standards that have recently been introduced and explain what they mean for businesses working within the sector.

The presentation is expected to provide valuable information for companies looking to stay up to date with changing requirements and understand how new regulations may affect their work.

As well as hearing from industry experts, attendees will also have the chance to meet and network with other businesses from across Wales and the wider industry.

The event is aimed at businesses of all sizes and will provide useful information whether companies are looking for technical guidance, training opportunities, membership support or advice on industry regulations.

The Federation also hopes the event will help strengthen connections between businesses operating in Wales and encourage greater collaboration across the sector.

The event is expected to attract interest from installers, fabricators, surveyors, manufacturers and other businesses working across the glass and glazing sector.

The GGF is encouraging anyone interested in attending to book their place as early as possible, as spaces are limited.
