FENEX to hold fenestration sector recruitment drive at September main event

It has long been known that the fenestration sector is going through an acute skills and youth shortage that remains one of the biggest problems the sector has to tackle.

At this present time, with demand at extraordinary levels and continuing to grow, that skills gap has become ever more pressing, with installers and fabricators all looking to hire new staff members immediately to help facilitate growth.

That is why FENEX, the industry’s first virtual exhibition platform, will be doing all it can to help the industry grow and find brilliant new talent with it’s own skills and recruitment drive during the main event in September.

FENEX is going to partner with industry-leading recruitment agencies, training bodies, certification and qualification organisations to create a package that the organisers hope will appeal to people of all ages and all demographics, and especially those looking for a challenging and rewarding new career.

Co-founder of FENEX, Lee Clarke, said: “the skills and youth gap has been one the fenestration sector has been trying to overcome for years. The pandemic and now huge bounce back resulting in record demand across the board has highlighted further the immediate need to address this issue which is holding back greater growth.

As a show and platform that recognises the entire sector, from top to bottom, including our vital installer community, we want to do all we can to help bring new, brilliant people into our sector and help the industry grow strong and sustainably in the years to come. We encourage anyone who has the same vision and ethos to join this effort with us.”
