Valerie Block  2026 World Congress Chair

It is my honor to serve as Chair of the 2026 World Congress.
The abstracts we have received from authors around the world reflect a wide range of topics, including façade design, systems, tools, performance, sustainability, and resilience. Many papers are research-based, while others present in-depth case studies of realized projects.

In the coming months, we will be sharing more about the program, including paper and curated sessions, keynote speakers, and special activities developed in collaboration with our partner, Carnegie Mellon University. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Omar Khan, Professor and Head of the School of Architecture, and Tuliza Sindi, Assistant Professor and Curator of Public Programs, for their guidance and support.

We are offering Early Bird registration through April 30, along with discounted hotel rates at the Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh University Center.

I hope you will join us in person. Over the years, many attendees have shared that the networking opportunities are among the most valuable aspects of the World Congress experience.

Warm regards,
Valerie Block, LEED AP, CDT
