Schulte joins the company from Hilti AG in Liechtenstein, where he worked since 2010, most recently as Head of Finance and Controlling. He succeeds Klaus Rübenthaler (55) at SCHOTT, who is leaving the company after 16 years of service for personal reasons on March 31, 2016. “In Dr. Schulte, we have found an acknowledged financial expert with international management experience,” said Dr. Dieter Kurz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SCHOTT AG.
Dr. Schulte began his career with the management consultancy McKinsey after studying business administration at the University of Cologne. At the same time, he received his doctorate in 2000 from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. He then worked at Goldman Sachs and Siemens.
