The National Glass Association (NGA) announced the cancellation of the Building Envelope Contractors (BEC) Conference scheduled for March 21-23 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

“With the ongoing pandemic, state-mandated attendance limitations and related travel barriers, the NGA Board of Directors once again prioritized safety with participants in mind,” said NGA President & CEO Nicole Harris. “The BEC Planning task group will recast its terrific content line-up to present education sessions online and as a tie-in with the Glazing Executives Forum at GlassBuild America 2021 in Atlanta, Sept. 13-15.”

The advance interest from sponsors and prospective attendees attests to the ongoing success of this marquee event following 2020’s attendance of nearly 700 in Nashville—the largest BEC Conference in a decade. And while nothing compares to live, in-person networking, NGA will host “BEC Presents…” online sessions for the entire glazing and installing community over the original BEC Conference dates in March.

BEC Presents… will consist of 30- to 45-minute ‘episodes’ of noteworthy educational presentations available for on-demand, convenient viewing on the association’s website, glass.org. A daily email will be sent announcing each session, along with sponsor details and additional resources. There will be no charge to watch the episodes.

The BEC Conference returns to Nashville in March 2022 in conjunction with Glass Processing Automation Days (GPAD), and will celebrate its 25th anniversary at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas in March 2023.

The BEC Conference is geared primarily to glazing contractors and combines educational presentations and tabletop displays, plus a meeting of NGA’s Installing Committee.
