Discover how thoughtful design and innovative daylight solutions come together at the Grace Hopper School, recently showcased during Architecture Day 2025.

As part of this year’s event, the Grace Hopper Comprehensive School in Teltow near Berlin welcomed visitors to explore its forward-thinking design. Created by NAK Architekten, the school’s star-shaped layout fosters both structure and interaction – transforming the building into a vibrant space for learning and community. At its center lies a hub that embodies the school’s educational vision of communication and connection.

In the sports hall, OKALUX K light-diffusing glass is used – a solution that gently channels daylight into the space, provides even illumination, and protects against sun and glare. The hall is partially recessed into the lower ground floor, enabling the school’s distinctive architecture to take shape above. The result is a comfortable indoor climate that supports both physical activity and focus.
